A Dothan, Alabama native, Wesley Carpenter is co-founder of The Harty Carpenter Group at Merrill Lynch Wealth Management in Fairhope. As a Wealth Management Advisor, he serves a select group of successful professionals and retirees designing tailored strategies for each client’s unique circumstances and holistic goals.

Over the last two decades, Carpenter has built a team that emphasizes up-front honest advice, in-depth customization and committed service. He and his team collaborate with clients designing personalized wealth and retirement income strategies for longevity, increasing health care costs and changes in Social Security.

Carpenter, who has been in the financial services industry for almost 20 years, graduated from The University of Alabama with a B.S. in Commerce & Business Administration in Finance and a minor in Economics. He continued his education, and now holds the Certified Private Wealth Advisor designation, a Certified Financial Planner certification, awarded by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc. In addition, Carpenter earned both a Chartered Financial Consultant and a Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor designation. In addition to his team, Carpenter is a Senior Resident Director of the Fairhope office of Merrill Lynch Wealth Management.

Carpenter is active on the Eastern Shore including Eastern Shore Chamber of Commerce (Board Member), American Red Cross – South Alabama Chapter (Board Member), Business Council of Alabama, Coastal Alabama Partnership, Estate Planning Council, Rotary Club of Mobile (Paul Harris Fellow), Eastern Shore Art Center, Mobile Big Game Fishing Club, Mobile Touchdown Club, Red Elephant Club, Sigma Nu Alumni Association and St. Lawrence Catholic Parish. He enjoys Alabama football, offshore fishing, golfing and spending time with his wife (Aeana) and two sons (Quin and Wells).
