James Long once had no idea how impactful ionized alkaline water would be to his health. Suffering from severe seasonal allergies, acid reflux and overall stress, Long met Missy Guitterrez, owner of Peak Alkalinity, during an Art Walk in Fairhope. “She had so much knowledge about ionized alkaline water. She explained how Himalayan salt therapy would help with my allergies and how the ionized alkaline water would help my acid reflux,” says Long.

Peak Alkalinity’s goal is to help people navigate healthier choices, detox their bodies and take control of their health. Long saw Guitterrez for detox services for four years. “She’s helped me so much that I am off my acid reflux medication and have not had my esophagus stretched in years,” says Long, adding that he also gained endurance and boosted energy levels for walking his standard 15,000 steps per day.

A few months ago, Guitterrez reached out to Long because she was expanding her business and needed a full-time manager. Long became the Manager at Peak Alkalinity.
