Happy New Year! I hope you welcomed 2026 in a way that felt meaningful and true to you. New Year’s intentions look different in every season of life. Last year, my husband and I rang it in on a Caribbean cruise with stops in Mexico, Honduras and Belize—an unforgettable adventure. This year, we chose something quieter and closer to home. Peace, reflection and renewal feel like the right tone-setters for what lies ahead.
This is my retirement year.
Since starting my first job at 15 as a lifeguard, I’ve had the privilege of many fulfilling career chapters—from the corporate world as a headhunter to business ownership and, most meaningfully, serving this community through Natural Awakenings Gulf Coast. After nearly 50 years of striving, learning and serving, I feel called to shift my focus and spend more time doing what I’m most passionate about: health and wellness coaching. Walking alongside others as they make meaningful lifestyle changes toward optimal health is deeply rewarding. And let’s be honest—everyone needs a retirement “gig,” right?
With that, I’m sharing that Natural Awakenings Gulf Coast will be offered for sale beginning January 10, 2026. Owning and operating this franchise has been an honor, and it’s time to pass the baton to someone who shares a deep commitment to the natural health and conscious living community. As you know, Natural Awakenings is more than a magazine—it’s a way of life. Each issue delivers unbiased, evidence-based information and trusted resources that empower readers to make informed choices for their health and for the planet we share.
Please know that nothing will change in the coming months regarding production or distribution. My priority is a thoughtful, seamless transition whenever the right new publisher steps forward.
