This year, the farm expanded its potato offerings beyond traditional red potatoes by successfully growing yellow Yukon potatoes. Tomato lovers will also find plenty of variety, from large slicing tomatoes to heirloom, Juliet, cherry and Roma varieties.

If favorable weather continues, customers can soon expect fresh-picked watermelons and cantaloupes from the farm’s fields. Purple hull peas are also progressing well and are anticipated to join the summer harvest. In addition to farm-grown produce, McKenzie Farm Market offers locally sourced blackberries and blueberries from growers throughout Baldwin County.

The market also partners with several local businesses to provide convenient grab-and-go meals, sandwiches and specialty foods. Current partners include Feast and Company, Battles Wharf Market, 3 Arrows Meat Company, Osteria South and Southern Bayou Grill.

“We love seeing new customers and meeting new people who come into our market, whether they’re local residents or travelers passing through,” says Conklin. “Our goal is to provide fresh fruits and vegetables while continuing to serve our community for years to come. We sincerely appreciate everyone’s continued support.”
