This month, Fairhope Health Foods has something to celebrate. They have built a legacy over the past 51 years, and a legacy, like healing, takes time. Rather than one big anniversary event, the celebration will unfold across the entire month, with expanded discounts and free in-store samples open to the public. In five decades, the shelves have changed as much as the science behind them, but the store’s approach to serving the community hasn’t.
Owner Lynnora Ash ties that continuity to this month’s October theme: How Healing Works. “It’s about more than products or a single approach to wellness; it’s about the ongoing relationship between people, their health and their community,” she explains. “This milestone represents not only how far Fairhope Health Foods has come, but the trust our community has placed in us along the way.”
That loyalty shows up in the customers themselves, Ash says. “One of the greatest honors is seeing generations of families walk through our doors: parents, children and even grandchildren. To us, our customers are more than customers; they are part of our health food store family.”
