19th Annual Alabama Coastal BirdFest and Nature Festival

The 19th Annual Alabama Coastal BirdFest, a birding and a nature festival, will be held October 4 through 7, 2023, and is one of the South Alabama Land Trust’s (SALT) annual fundraising events.
Registration will close on Friday, September 22, at 11:59 pm CDT!
The official headquarters of Alabama Coastal BirdFest is at 5 Rivers Delta Resource Center. The free family-friendly (no registration required) Bird & Nature Expo, closing reception and keynote speaker presentation, all bus trips, and most all workshops are located here. BirdFest trips adventure along the 200-mile Alabama Coastal Birding Trail throughout Mobile and Baldwin counties, exploring bird and wildlife hotspots such as Dauphin Island, Fort Morgan, Weeks Bay, the Mobile-Tensaw Delta, Bayou La Batre, Forever Wild Grand Bay Savanna, and back by popular demand, a trip to our neighbors at the Mississippi Sand Hill Crane National Wildlife Refuge.
Workshops at 5 Rivers Delta Resource Center on basics of birding, hummingbirds, building different bird boxes, how to use birding apps such as the Merlin Bird ID app, and nature photography. Offsite workshop will include how to build a backyard habitat for wildlife, and birds & blooms. Trips are filled in the order in which registrations are received.
