About
Natural Awakenings is Gulf Coast Alabama and Mississippi's healthy and green living magazine. 16,000 copies are distributed monthly for free to more than 600 locations.
Our territory includes: Mobile, Baldwin (AL), Hancock, Harris, Jackson (MS)
More than a magazine:
Natural Awakenings has influenced the healthy living market throughout the country for more than 20 years. The Gulf Coast edition (formerly Mobile/Baldwin edition) has been in circulation since 2002. In each issue of Natural Awakenings, readers find cutting-edge
information on natural health, nutrition, fitness, personal growth, green
living, creative expression and the products and services that support a
healthy lifestyle. We offer inspiring how-to articles, interviews with national
experts, the latest news in holistic health and sustainability and much more.
Each month brings fresh perspective around a timely theme sure to pique your
interest.
As an independently-published and locally-curated magazine,
readers know they can trust that our content has no “hidden agenda.” What started as a monthly print publication, has grown to also include a digital magazine, a mobile app, an online wellness directory, additional branded products, and more. Natural Awakenings is more than a magazine, it’s a way of life!
Publishing family:
Natural Awakenings is a publishing family of locally owned magazines reaching millions of readers throughout the country. By being part of a larger network of magazines, we can provide the latest health and wellness information available through feature articles written by nationally-recognized authors, as well as articles by local experts.
At the front of each community issue, we present global news and views as a complement to news and events of local interest. We highlight healing arts practitioners in the local area. And we connect you with a wealth of national and local resources mapping out alternate routes to a healthier, happier, longer life. A life that feels good all the way around.
You can find Natural Awakenings in many locations including local health food stores, fitness centers, book stores, health care facilities, public libraries and wherever free publications are generally available.
Committed to sustainability:
Our magazine is not glossy and it never will be. It is printed on newsprint and is meant to be easily recycled when our readers are finished with it. From ordering business cards on recycled paper to using leftover magazines as mulch in the vegetable garden, we reduce, reuse and recycle everything we can throughout all aspects of our business operation.
Our mission:
To empower individuals to live a healthier lifestyle on a healthier planet.
To educate communities on the latest in natural health and sustainability.
To connect readers with local wellness resources and events, inspiring them to lead more balanced lives.
