& Co., Hunter Harris, loves creating healthy and delicious menus out of
locally sourced ingredients. At the organic-focused café and juicery in
downtown Daphne, he does this daily.

opened in August 2023. Harris was brought in to help develop the food and
beverage options that would fulfill the restaurant’s mission to offer
convenient, healthy choices. The heavily organic menu emphasizes thoughtfully
sourced, quality ingredients and features a full breakfast and lunch menu as
well as smoothies, an acai bowl, cold-pressed juices and a complete menu of
organic coffee and tea.
Prior to joining the
Press & Co. team, Harris served as executive chef at several other
restaurants on the Gulf Coast. He trained in New Orleans and even leads his own
supper club, but this is the first time he’s created a complete menu from the
start.
“I’m really proud of
what we’ve created...especially the work we all put in to find the right local
products and organic raw ingredients. Our spicy tuna bowl, for example, features
yellowfin tuna right out of the Gulf of Mexico. Our sourdough bread, which is a
customer favorite, is made at Forget Me Knot Bakery in Daphne,” Harris said.
“And our coffee is all organic, coming from Amavida Coffee Roasters on 30A.”
What’s most important to Harris
is God, family and community, which he says has helped make Press & Co.
what it is today. His wife, Amber Harris, recently joined the team as Press
& Co.’s General Manager.
