The Warmth, Comfort and Promise of Peace

Dear Friend,

For this holiday issue, I wanted to find the perfect way to express my gratitude and in return give you a precious gift that would tell you how much I value your readership. Reflecting on this, I turned to the 4:8 Principle, penned by the Apostle Paul: “Whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, anything worthy of praise, think about these things.” Philippians 4:8. These words remind me to focus on all that is positive and uplifting as we celebrate the holy days of December.

Music also speaks to my heart, so I found myself listening to songs that celebrate the true meaning of the season. Starting with “Oh, Holy Night,” which celebrates that sacred night when our Savior, Jesus Christ, entered the world, bringing hope and salvation.

Next, “The Prayer” captured my attention. This beautiful duet, originally performed by
Celine Dion and Andrea Bocelli, is a heartfelt plea for divine guidance, expressing a longing for safety, wisdom and peace—gifts that Jesus offers us. Its lyrics reflect the hope that we may find light and unity, especially as we gather with loved ones at Christmastime:

These songs draw me into the heart of Christmas, reminding me of the warmth, comfort and promise of peace that this time of year represents. I feel the spiritual depth of each lyric, offering space for reflection on faith, love and the sacredness of this season. I pray that each of us feels connected to this greater purpose and love that Christ’s birth brings.

Peace and Love,
